Our Work Hardening Program is the next step in your successful return to work. We're sure your next question is probably what is Work Hardening?

Work Hardening is a program, which uses real work tasks to improve the function of the injured worker. This program will help you fell stronger and more energetic so that thou will be able to return to work. We are going to simulate the activities that you do at work in order to prepare you for those tasks.

At the beginning we are going to evaluate your job, your strength, and your tolerance to work activities. We will then be able to prepare a specific program for you. any information you can bring with regard to your specific job will be very helpful.

The main goal of this program is to simulate your work and help you return to work as soon as possible. The program lasts between 4 to 6 weeks. An important part of your program will be group sessions that focus on stress management, pacing, relaxation training and anxieties experienced when returning to the work place.

We encourage you and your family to visit us anytime before you start your program so you can familiarize yourself with our program and staff. We will be happy to answer any questions you might have.






What is Work Conditioning?

Work conditioning is a rehabilitation program designed to gain your strength, stamina, and cardiovascular conditioning so you will be able to return to work. The program uses a variety of stretching and therapeutic exercises as well as job simulation activities to achieve your goal.

What is Work Hardening?

Work hardening is rehabilitation program designed to help you gain your strength, stamina, cardiovascular conditioning and psychosocial function to help you return to work. This is achieved with stretching and therapeutic exercises, job simulations activities and group therapy to achieve your goal.

How long does the program last?

The Work Hardening and Work Conditioning programs last between four to six weeks.

What are the hours of the program?

The program runs daily, for four to six hours.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothes. We will be simulating your job, therefore wear what you would wear to work. Tennis shoes are recommended.

Where will I eat lunch?

There are several restaurants nearby or you can eat your lunch at the premises. Generally lunch is from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.

Can I come and visit the facility before starting the program?

Absolutely, we encourage you and your family to come and visit our facility and meet with the personnel that will be providing your rehabilitation program. We can answer any questions that you or your family might have.
